|---|---|
| 1 | Open Overview |
| 2 | Open Insights |
| Backspace | Go back |
| Shift+P | Switch project |
| Esc | Close the open dialog, or go back |
Go back moves one level up:
- From session detail, you go to the sessions list when a project is in scope. With no project in scope, you go to Overview.
- From the sessions list, you go to Overview. This clears the project scope.
- From Insights, you go to Overview. The project scope stays.
- On Overview, go back does nothing.
See Choose a date range and project scope for how the scope works.
Project picker
Section titled “Project picker”Shift+P opens Switch project, a list of the projects with usage in the current date range, sorted by cost. In the picker:

Timeline range
Section titled “Timeline range”Session detail shows a range brush when a session has more than 25 messages. Click the brush track, or move focus to it with Tab, then use these keys:

| Shift+← / Shift+→ | Move the window by its full size |
| Home | Jump to the first messages |
| End | Jump to the last messages |
The mouse wheel over the track also moves the window one step at a time.

| Ctrl+Shift+S | Open Plan usage |
| ? | Show or hide the help dialog |
For Plan usage, see Watch 5-hour blocks and burn rate.
The help dialog shows this group only when Claude Code Cost runs inside Claude Code Hub.
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
| Ctrl+Alt+← / Ctrl+Alt+→ | Go to the previous or next hub app |
| Alt+1 … Alt+9 | Go to a hub app by its number |
| Ctrl+Alt+P | Open the hub project picker |
Inside the hub, Claude Code Cost sends these keys to the hub:
- Ctrl+Alt+← and Ctrl+Alt+→
- Ctrl+Alt with any letter, when Shift and Meta are not held
- Alt+1 to Alt+9, with no other modifier
The hub decides what each key does. It also binds Ctrl+Alt+W to open the config dir picker and Ctrl+Alt+A to open the app launcher. The help dialog in Claude Code Cost does not list these keys. The hub ignores letters it has no binding for.
When keys do nothing
Section titled “When keys do nothing”Claude Code Cost ignores its shortcuts in these cases:
- Focus is in a text field. Keys typed in an input box, text area or drop-down go to that field.
- A dialog is open. Only Esc works, and it closes the dialog. In the help dialog, ? also closes it.
- The date range picker is open. Only Esc works, and it closes the picker without a change.
- Ctrl, Alt or Meta is held. The app ignores the key. Ctrl+Shift+S is the only exception.
Inside the hub, the keys in the Hub group go to the hub in all of these cases.
