One Claude Code session, turn by turn.

The Inspector reads a session transcript from disk and shows each prompt, the tool calls that followed it, and the tokens they used. See where the context grew, where it was compacted, and which call failed.

The Inspector follows the hub theme, in all 17 themes, light and dark. Pick one here and the page follows.

Read

Open a session in Kanban and the Inspector opens it too. A live session updates as Claude Code writes to it.

An example app: it shows how a new tool connects to the hub. The docs page walks through its code.

Find the call that failed

Errors only keeps the turns with a failed tool call. Click a call to see its input and its output in the panel at the right.

Read the whole reply

Each turn shows the start of the prompt and of the reply, as markdown. Show the full reply opens all of it, with its tables and code.

Keep your hands on the keyboard

j and k go to the next or the previous turn, g and G to the first or the last. o opens a different session and r reads the transcript again. Press ? for the full list.

Set up in two steps

  1. Install it

    npm install --prefix examples/inspector

    Run it in a clone of the hub repository. The Inspector has no npm package of its own.

  2. Add it to the apps list

    { "id": "inspector", "path": "<clone>/examples/inspector" }

    Put it in apps in ~/.claude-hub/config.json, after the four built-in tools, and restart the hub. The Inspector is the fifth tab: press Alt+5 to go to it.
