Swarm

Decentralized Multi-Agent Systems with Shared Context

An implementation of the DeLM idea on Claude Code Kanban

Swarm starts 2 to 4 workers as Claude Code sessions on the Kanban board. They claim tasks from a shared queue and post what they learn to a shared log, so no main agent hands out the work. Your own session supervises.

The idea comes from DeLM, decentralized multi-agent systems with shared context. Swarm is our own implementation on top of Kanban, not a port: it lists where it differs in DEVIATIONS.md.

Watch

The timeline shows each worker's claims, findings and publications. Each worker runs in its own git worktree and its own Kanban terminal, so you can open any of them and type.

On the board

The supervisor and its workers sit in one group in the Kanban sidebar. Each card names the worker that claimed it, and the Swarm app opens in a pane beside the board.

Summary

The goal, the outcome and the delivered files, the workers, and the items that need a look from you.

Request

The spec and each revision you asked for, on the timeline, with the tasks and publications that came after each one.

Queue

The open, claimed and done tasks, with who took each one, how long it took and the claim races it had.

Knowledge

The findings the workers shared, newest first, and the tasks they handed off to each other.

Changes

Who applied whose work, the files each worker touched, and what each one published.

Log

Every event of the swarm, newest first: claims, findings, publications, wakes and the end.

Set up in two steps

  1. Install it

    claude-code-hub ext install swarm

This clones the Swarm app into the hub dir and adds its plugin to Claude Code. Restart the hub and start a new Claude Code session.

  2. Start a swarm

    /swarm:swarm <goal> --n 2

Run it in a session in the Kanban terminal. Your session writes a spec and the first tasks, and starts the workers after you agree to them. It then supervises: it answers blockers and ends the swarm.

It needs Claude Code Kanban with its terminal on and Node 22.13 or later. The extension page has the full install steps.
