Keyboard shortcuts

Claude Code Marketplace has a help modal that lists every shortcut. The tables on this page match it.

Press ? (Shift+/ on most layouts), or click the Keyboard shortcuts button (the ? icon) near the right end of the top bar. Press Esc or ? again to close it.

These keys move through the tree of marketplaces and plugins on the left.

Keys Action
Down or J Next row
Up or K Previous row
Right or L Expand a collapsed marketplace
Left or H Collapse an expanded marketplace. On a plugin row, move to its marketplace.
Enter or Space On a marketplace row, expand or collapse it. On a plugin row, open its details.

If no row has focus, the first Down or Up focuses the selected plugin, or the first row when nothing is selected.

Keys Action
/ Focus the search box
Down or Ctrl+N While you type in search, open the next match
Up or Ctrl+P While you type in search, open the previous match
Enter While you type in search, clear the query and keep the match open and focused
S Focus the scope filter
Esc Close the detail panel. In a text field, leave the field.

The match keys wrap from the last match to the first. If the scope filter would hide the match you keep with Enter, the filter changes to All. For more about search, see Browse and search plugins.

Keys Action
E Open the selected or focused plugin folder in your editor
Shift+U Open your user CLAUDE.md
Shift+P Switch project

If no plugin is selected or focused, E shows the message “Select a plugin first”. The editor comes from the EDITOR environment variable. The default is code (VS Code). See Configuration and CLI.

Shift+U and Shift+P need Shift because browser extensions in the Vimium style use plain U and P.

Keys Action
R Refresh the data
T Toggle light and dark mode
? Show the help

The help shows this group only when Claude Code Marketplace runs inside Claude Code Hub. Standalone, these keys do nothing.

Keys Action
Ctrl+Alt+Left or Ctrl+Alt+Right Previous or next hub app
Alt+1 to Alt+9 Go to the hub app with that number
Ctrl+Alt+P Open the hub project picker

The app sends these keys to the hub, which does the action. See Run inside Claude Code Hub.

Shift+P or the folder button in the top bar opens the Switch Project picker. In its filter field:

Keys Action
Down or Ctrl+N Move down the list
Up or Ctrl+P Move up the list
Enter Switch to the highlighted project
Esc Close the picker

After you click + Add path…, the path field has its own keys. Enter switches to the path you typed. Esc goes back to the list and keeps the picker open.

In the Marketplaces dialog, the Add Marketplace field takes Enter to add the source and Esc to close the dialog. See Add and manage marketplaces.

  • Single-key shortcuts (letters, arrow keys, and Esc) act only when you do not hold Ctrl, Alt, Meta, or Shift.
  • When a text field, text area, or dropdown has focus, the page shortcuts do not act. Esc moves focus out of the field. The search box and the fields listed above have their own keys.
  • When a button or link outside the tree has focus, Enter and Space press that control.
  • When a modal is open, only Esc acts, and it closes the modal. In the help modal, ? closes it too.
