Terminal and sessions
Terminal
Section titled “Terminal”Each session can run pi in a terminal next to its board. The terminal keeps running in the server when you close the browser tab. Open the board again and you are back where you were. Start the server with --no-terminal to turn the terminal off and only watch sessions. To make pi’s colors follow the board, see pi’s theme in the board terminal.
The cursor blinks while the terminal has the focus, and shows as an outline when it does not. For this, the board starts pi with PI_HARDWARE_CURSOR=1. To keep pi’s own cursor, which does not blink, set "showHardwareCursor": false in pi’s settings.json.
The terminal needs the access token. The URL that the server prints carries it in the URL fragment (#t=...), and so does /kanban open. Open that URL once: the browser keeps the token, and the server keeps the same token when it restarts. Start the server with --new-token to replace it, for example after you shared the URL by mistake.
