Move between the tools

The hub shows one tool at a time, and the tool fills the window. There are no tabs to click. You switch with the keyboard.

Key Action
Ctrl+Alt+→ Next tool
Ctrl+Alt+← Previous tool
Alt+1 Kanban
Alt+2 Marketplace
Alt+3 Cost
Alt+4 Memory Diagnoser

The next and previous keys wrap around: after the last tool comes the first.

This is the default order. The apps list in the config file changes the order and turns tools off. The numbers follow the tab order, so a tool that is off has no number.

A browser does not pass key presses from a framed page to the page around it. So the hub tells each tool which keys it binds, and the tool sends only those keys to the hub. Every other key stays in the tool, the Kanban terminal included. The hub keys work while focus is inside a tool, for example in a search field. A key press that also holds Shift or Meta stays in the tool.

The tools stay loaded when you switch away. When you come back, a tool is where you left it: the same scroll position, filters, and open panels.

In Kanban, select a session and press one of these keys to open another tool for it:

Key Opens
$ Cost, with the detail for that session
M Marketplace, for the session’s project
Ctrl+M Memory Diagnoser, for the session’s project

The tools share the light/dark mode and the color theme. Change either one in any tool, and the other three follow. The hub remembers your choice in the browser.

The hub keeps a color theme for each config dir. If you give your work dir one theme and your personal dir another, the color tells you which dir you are in.

To add your own theme or change the colors of a built-in one, see Make a custom color theme.

Kanban keeps Ctrl+Alt+N (new session), Ctrl+Alt+R (resume session), and Ctrl+Alt+S (swap to the previous session) for itself. The hub does not bind these keys. For the full list, see Keyboard shortcuts.
